INDOOR AIR QUALITY TESTING AND MOLD REMEDIATION
According to the EPA, we spend about 90% of our time indoors. Home and workplace air quality is a growing health issue throughout the US.
Mold Testing and Consulting
The ESS team of ACAC Board Certified Indoor Environmental experts and Certified Industrial Hygienists are highly experienced in locating the potential sources of water intrusion, identifying the location and type of mold growth, developing plans to remove mold contamination, and working with qualified contractors to ensure that buildings are remediated properly.
ESS understands that indoor air quality is becoming a top priority for homeowners and building occupants throughout their homes and workplaces
We take a comprehensive approach to performing mold investigations, as many different factors must be considered when trying to identify the source of contamination. A thorough building and occupant history, followed by a detailed visual inspection to identify sources and conditions, form the basis of the investigation. Clear objectives and criteria are established before any sampling or analysis is undertaken to ensure that useful and sensible data is generated in the complex arena of mold contamination. A wide variety of field tools are used to help sample and identify the types of mold and the extent of mold contamination.
A typical assessment includes the following:
We offer limited assessments and testing to meet the needs of our clients when full assessments and/or investigations may not be a viable option.
Chemical Testing
Work environments can contain a myriad of sources that produce unwanted chemicals (VOCs) in the air. Couple that with insufficient ventilation and the resulting air breathed by building occupants can affect productivity, work quality and worker health. Homes can also have these sources including formaldehydes and 3rd hand smoke residuals.
HOME AND WORKPLACE
ESS has a cost-effective tool for use in determining airborne chemicals (VOCs) and active growing mold (MVOCs) in home or workplace air. Most importantly, the chemical information is translated into categories of potential sources. This allows an action plan for improving air quality to be developed.
ODOR AND CHEMICAL REMOVAL
Eliminating unwanted chemicals creates better quality air. This leads to increased worker productivity, job satisfaction and an overall healthier work force.
Our Hydroxyl Generating Technology is 100 % Green Technology. The most advanced solution for eliminating odors, decontaminating surfaces and purifying the air. Hydroxyl generators kill mold, viruses (COVID-19), and effectively eliminate odors from marijuana dispensaries and grow operations, fire, smoke, sewage, water damage, VOCs, chemical fumes, biohazard, skunk and any other unpleasant odor. Safe for people, animals, plants, rubber, plastic, vinyl, electronics, sensitive materials and wet items.
Issues with mold or odors from legal marijuana grow operations and dispensaries contact ESS for solutions.
When water damage occurs, mold follows quickly afterwards. Although mold spores are always present in the air that we breathe, when there is an abundance of dampness, mold will grow to proportions unsafe and unsanitary for occupants. Concern about indoor exposure to mold has increasing as the public becomes aware that exposure to mold can cause a variety of health effects and symptoms, including allergic reactions. The goal of this mold remediation is to eliminate any actual or perceived liability using a reasonable method to solve the problem.
Mold remediation involves the removal of all contaminated porous building materials (sheetrock, particleboard, etc.) and the treatment of all non-porous building materials (wood studs, etc.). As a matter of health and safety issues, abatement projects are typically performed by professionals who have the necessary training in safety and containment protocols. Project oversight and technical issues regarding abatement protocols and health risks are better left to a contamination expert, not just a contractor. As an Environmental Services Firm, ESS has a trained remediation staff comprised of environmental technicians supervised by environmental professionals.

ESS provides complete mold remediation services for residential properties, hotels/resorts, apartment complexes, hospitals, schools, and assisted living centers. ESS project managers can provide an effective plan for the remediation or decontamination of any size or type of home or building. Abating affected building materials, in conjunction with the corrective actions associated with moisture intrusion, is the goal in any mold abatement activity. The extent of removal, the work practices used, worker protection, and the cleanup procedures are strategies that must be developed, call ESS for a free estimate today.
